Tenley Bank serves mission-driven clients around the country, focusing on the nonprofit and education sectors.
In particular, Tenley has deep experience in arts and culture and higher education.
As an Executive Search Consultant, Tenley manages search processes, cultivates strong candidate pools and engages with clients throughout the search project.
Prior to Koya, Tenley was a knowledge manager and search consultant with Korn Ferry, the global people and organizational advisory firm. There, she provided strategic, research-based guidance to the Global Education practice.
Earlier, she served as external relations director for Theatre Exile, a nonprofit theater company in Philadelphia.
She was also the managing editor for the annual Modernist Studies Association conference issue of Modernism/modernity, a peer-reviewed academic journal focused on modernist literature and art.
During the course of her career, Tenley has managed a start-up tech office, taught literature and composition courses, freelanced as a writing consultant, and acted in Philadelphia and Washington, DC.
Committed to civic involvement, Tenley is a member/owner and volunteer for the South Philly Food Coop, an urban food cooperative in Philadelphia, as well as a volunteer and foster for the Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society. She served two years as a board member for a theater collective focused on developing new works from emerging artists.
She writes poetry and short fiction, which has been published in the journal Lovers and Other Strangers.
Tenley received her BA in English from James Madison University. She completed course work and exams toward a PhD in Literature in English at Drew University, where she was the graduate student association representative for her program.
