As a Research Associate, Nina is responsible for developing and implementing research-based strategies to source candidates for Koya’s executive searches.
Most recently, Nina served as a Research and Evaluation Coordinator for Year Up, a national workforce development program where she was responsible for nation-wide survey administration and reporting of student and corporate partner feedback across program sites. While at Year Up, Nina became involved in planning and facilitating diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives for students, local staff, and national colleagues. Nina deeply advocates for engaging people in DEI and identity-based education, especially first-generation students and young adults of color, so that they are equipped to be confident in the experiences they bring before entering the workforce.
Prior to Year Up, Nina was the Assistant Director of Programs at Northeastern University’s Social Enterprise Institute, where she managed academic and service-learning programs that fostered greater awareness of and experiential learning within the social enterprise field. Following her time at Northeastern, Nina served as a Fulbright fellow in Jordan researching the impact and business models of social enterprises in an UNRWA refugee camp that employed refugee women.
Outside of work, Nina loves studying languages (in particular, Arabic and Tagalog), performing cover songs with friends, long-distance running, and her family.
