Consultant, Executive Search
Based in Chicago, Amber works to manage candidate development and client engagement on executive searches for a wide range of mission-driven organizations across the country. Amber is passionate about connecting the right people to the right opportunities. She knows how important it is to acquire, develop, and retain high-performing talent in order to help organizations achieve their missions.
Amber joined Koya from DHR International, a top five retained search firm. Prior to DHR, Amber worked at Chicago Public Schools (CPS) where she completed the Broad Residency in Urban Education, earning a master’s degree in Educational Leadership.
In her first role at CPS as the Manager of STEM & Strategic Initiatives, Amber managed the execution of the citywide STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, & Math) strategy aimed at increasing the number of students graduating with STEM credentials in Chicago on an annual basis, and helped recruit STEM Specialists and Program Managers to roles in underserved STEM schools. She then became HR Program Manager in the Talent Office at CPS where she successfully developed and implemented a new performance management evaluation process and talent management framework for nearly 1,400 central office employees while also leading internal executive recruitment efforts.
Amber has previously held roles in brand management at Pfizer and at Kraft Foods. She has an MBA from the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business and a BS from Florida A&M University.
