Founded over 150 years ago, UCAN serves and impacts over 21,000 at-risk children, youth and families across Illinois each year. UCAN provides services that meets clients where they are within two foundational functions: Continuum of Care and Community Services.
UCAN’s promise is to advocate for and provide opportunities that change lives through impactful programs, consistent presence and unrivaled diversity and inclusion. Founded as a Civil War orphanage, UCAN has a long history of creating safe and caring spaces for youth, adults and families to grow.
As the organization enters this next chapter, UCAN seeks a President & CEO (“CEO”) to lead the organization to achieve even greater levels of strategic influence, impact and innovation – knowing that these external indicators derive from a healthy organization with talented staff, strong partnerships in community and a solid reputation in the field.
Inspired by a genuine passion for empowering youth, families and communities, the CEO will be responsible for carrying out UCAN’s consistent achievement of its mission, strategic vision and financial objectives.
The CEO will lead with the drive and enthusiasm to spearhead the communication and implementation of effective growth strategies for UCAN. The CEO will have the essential character, confidence and deep knowledge necessary for success in this visible and collaborative role.
