About Tearfund USA
Tearfund is a Christian international relief and development agency working globally to end poverty and injustice, and to restore dignity and hope in some of the world’s poorest communities.
Tearfund operates in 50 countries around the world. Working through local churches wherever possible, Tearfund trains and equips congregations to end poverty and transform their communities.
Tearfund’s work reflects its reputation for both spiritual passion and professional excellence, aiming to help the people in the world who are in the greatest need, regardless of race, religion, gender, or nationality.
Tearfund began in the UK in 1968 and is now a global family of 11 national agencies who work together to maximize their impact. Tearfund USA was launched in May 2018 to design and implement a US expression of Tearfund’s vision for change. Building on Tearfund’s reputation and a network of more than 100,000 local churches worldwide, Tearfund USA aims to energize and mobilize US Christians to take action to work with people living in poverty.
