Rise Against Hunger is an international hunger relief organization driven by the vision of a world without hunger. In 1998, Ray Buchanan founded Rise Against Hunger with the mission to end world hunger by providing food and life-changing aid to the world’s most vulnerable and creating a global commitment to mobilize the necessary resources. Rise Against Hunger’s work is guided by the recognition that ending hunger requires more than just feeding people. This principle has led Rise Against Hunger to strive to make a lasting, global impact on hunger by building resilience, self-sufficiency, and empowerment among communities of the greatest need. Currently, Rise Against Hunger is aiming to eliminate world hunger by 2030.
