Founded in 1974, Howard Brown Health is now one of the nation’s largest LGBTQ organizations. With an annual budget of over $145 million, the agency serves more than 40,000 adults and youth in its diverse health and social service delivery system.
Reporting to and partnering closely with the President & CEO, the Vice President, External Relations (VP) will provide critical leadership in external relations, strategic communications and fund development initiatives, including capital fundraising, institutional giving, individual and major gift fundraising, managing special events and planned giving. The VP will implement strategies for growth and enhance the culture of philanthropy throughout the organization. In addition, the VP will work closely with the Executive Leadership Team, promoting a collaborative and cohesive team that advances the work of the organization and enhances Howard Brown’s philanthropic success and advances the reputation and awareness of the organization.
