Since the founding of the Girl Scout Movement more than a century ago, Girl Scouts has grown to include nearly 2 million active members and more than 50 million Girl Scout alums—united across the decades by a spirit of lifelong friendship, shared adventure and the desire to do big things to make the world a better place. Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri believes in the power of every girl. Their leadership program is designed to help girls discover who they are, what they can do and connect them with a powerful community of girls and mentors to make it happen. With unique opportunities Girl Scouts explore, learn, succeed and take action to make a difference in their community.
Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri is seeking a Chief Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Officer (“CDEIO”) to elevate and empower the diversity, equity, and inclusion (“DEI”) work of the organization. This leader will help to establish Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri as a powerful example for other Girl Scouts chapters striving to become more equitable and inclusive. Reporting to and partnering with the CEO, this leader will work collaboratively with all staff to create and establish the vision for DEI at Girl Scouts and will lead the development of the strategy for the organization along with overseeing the implementation and assessment of that strategy.
