Reporting directly to the Vice President of Conservation Programs, the Deputy Vice President – Field Programs (DVP – FP) will oversee all regional field offices and makes significant contributions to the overall leadership of the organization.  The Deputy Vice President – Field Programs provides management and support to a highly skilled and experienced set of Senior Regional Directors that each manage broad multi-state regions.  As a member of TWS’s senior management team, the Deputy Vice President – Field Programs provides strategic counsel on matters of significance to all regions.

Importantly, TWS has made diversity, equity, and inclusion strategic priorities for the organization and the DVP-FP will integrate these priorities throughout their work.  The person in this role must model equitable and inclusive behaviors and possess strong management skills including success leading staff who are diverse across race, gender identity, and geography.  The DVP-FP will work to ensure that the national and place-based outcomes staff are working toward are just and equitable. Further, the Deputy Vice President must model strong leadership for TWS’s equity and inclusion work, proactively taking advantage of opportunities to promote a strong workplace culture that is inclusive and respects the unique perspectives of each individual staff member.

This candidate must be a person who enjoys cross-team collaboration, has excellent organizational management acumen, and effective communication and interpersonal skills. Additionally, this position is responsible for promoting a positive organizational culture that is grounded in trust and accountability to shared goals and outcomes. The DVP-FP is campaign-oriented, nimble, collaborative, innovative, adaptive, transparent, and supportive of staff.
