About Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals

Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals (“CMNH”) raises funds and awareness for 170 children’s hospitals across North America, funding research, critical treatments, medical equipment and charitable care to treat more than 10 million kids a year. In 2019, the organization raised more than $444 million for children’s hospitals, filling a significant gap in pediatric healthcare funding.

The Role

The President & CEO will provide strategic leadership to CMNH by working with the Board and the Executive Management Team to continue to position the organization as the leader in philanthropic causes supporting children’s healthcare. This leader will advance CMNH’s mission, vision, values, culture and objectives and promote revenues, financial strength and growth as an organization. In addition, the President & CEO will oversee company operations to insure production efficiency, quality, service and cost-effective management of resources.

At the core of the President & CEO’s responsibilities are the relationships with CMNH’s unique constituencies, all of which are considered critical to the continued success of the organization. In the rapidly evolving world of fundraising, these key stakeholders perceive the organization to be at a critical juncture in its journey with tremendous opportunity ahead. These partners include Corporate Sponsors; CMNH Hospital CEOs, Chief Development Officers and Program Directors; Media Partners, locally and nationally; and Celebrities and Entertainment Volunteers.

The primary responsibility of the President & CEO is to further align and leverage these stakeholders into a coalition, while managing them individually to maintain their focus on attaining the mission of CMNH. In addition, managing new technologies and social networking to enhance the brand with the CMNH’s media partners locally and nationally is critical to CMNH’s level of awareness and ability to continually attract new donors. Another challenge is to maintain and enhance the organization’s overhead to support operations and innovation at CMNH, while staying true to the mission of ‘every dollar raised in the community, stays in the community.’ This is unique from the vast majority of other charities.
