About Innovations for Learning

Innovations for Learning (IFL) is a global nonprofit organization committed to improving beginning literacy in under-resourced communities.  IFL believes that learning to read is a basic civil right that is a critical precondition to a quality education.

True to its name, IFL relentlessly innovates to find creative solutions to the challenges of teaching students in under-resourced communities.  IFL has been a pioneer in utilizing the Internet for remote teaching and learning.  Twenty years before the global pandemic made distance learning a necessity for most school districts, IFL was creating platforms for remote community supported reading practice.

IFL’s innovations extend to all aspects of new content development, from digital make-your-own-adventure stories, to voice activated read aloud stories, to Jib-Jab style readers theater plays and rap videos, IFL pushes the boundaries of digital and print media to engage and motivate students to read and learn.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the CEO, the Chief Content Officer is a newly developed role that will lead the firm’s global effort to create innovative content to inspire and engage students to read.  IFL is seeking a dynamic, creative thinker who can help create the next generation of the firm’s content, managing authors, illustrators, digital artists, and videographers that are sourced globally.
