The Bridgespan Africa Initiative

Established in 2019, the Bridgespan Africa Initiative is based in Johannesburg and is an endeavor aimed at exploring how to best help mission-driven organizations across Africa to improve their strategy, leadership, and outcomes. Building on 20 years of experience working with global nonprofits, NGOs, and philanthropy, Bridgespan has formed an exploratory team to investigate how and if Bridgespan’s knowledge and services can positively impact the effectiveness of philanthropy and NGOs focusing on inequality and poverty in Africa.

The Opportunity

A Bridgespan Partner collaborates with clients and colleagues to generate insights and recommendations that lead to breakthrough results and to the development and sharing of practical insights for the advancement of the social sector. They inspire, develop and mentor team members while also building authentic, trusted client relationships at the most senior levels. This is an outstanding opportunity for a passionate leader who has a proven commitment to affect social change in South Africa, other African countries, and in the Global South more broadly.
