The mission of Boys & Girls Clubs of North San Mateo County (BGCNSMC) is simple—to inspire and enable young people to realize their full potential and contribute to their communities.

For over 65 years, BGCNSMC have been a community staple and a positive, driving force for youth development and academic empowerment. Today, the Clubs are elevating their legacy by ensuring that every youth who walks through their doors will exit the Clubs with the health and life skills needed to ensure future success after their time with the organization. BGCNSMC also facilitates the continuation of their academic growth in a post-secondary education setting in order to be ready to participate in today’s rapidly evolving workforce.

The Opportunity

The CEO will lead BGCNSMC into a successful next chapter of growth. With a goal to serve more youth through quality mentorship programs, the CEO will lead the Board and staff to articulate and implement strategic objectives and will build a strong organizational culture to support its mission and values.

This leader will lead the overall planning and operation of the organization — while providing leadership, direction, and support to the Board of Directors. The CEO will be responsible for bringing the organization’s mission to life and will work to ensure that area youth achieve great futures by delivering a safe and fun space for learning, creating an engaging experience, and managing caring professionals to guide the youth along their growth.

The new CEO will be tasked with setting the vision, including program, development, finance, and operations, in collaboration with a highly effective management team. This leader will be expected to garner community support and harness the resources to grow the Clubs’ positive impact on the region.

The CEO will be a highly visible member of the community, representing BGCNSMC among peer organizations, community leaders, and other key stakeholders in the region.
