Koya partnered with Saint Joseph’s University on their search for a Chief Human Resources Officer. Following a thorough national search, our work resulted in the placement of Zenobia Hargust.
Hargust brings a blend of human resource experience from higher education and religiously-affiliated institutions. Currently, she is the Director of Equal Opportunity & Employee Engagement at Swarthmore College, as well as the College’s Deputy Title IX Coordinator. Her expansive leadership role encompasses learning and development, employee relations, equal opportunity and talent management, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, organizational design and workforce planning.
As a key advisor of the President’s Cabinet at Swarthmore, Hargust provided counsel on organizational change management, employee relations, and employee communication strategies. She partnered with the Provost and Deans to develop and implement Swarthmore’s diversity and inclusion strategic plan, led an overhaul of the employee recruitment and onboarding system, and designed a comprehensive talent management system.
Prior to her role at Swarthmore, Hargust held various human resources positions at the Madlyn and Leonard Abramson Center and Lutheran Children and Family Service.
Hargust is currently President of the Eastern Pennsylvania and Delaware Chapter for the College and University Association of Human Resources Professionals (CUPA-HR) and Secretary of the Delaware County Chapter for the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM).
Hargust earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from West Chester University and her Master of Science in Human Resources Management and Organizational Strategy from Walden University.
