Prior to joining Habitat for Humanity, Pinellas County, Michael was the executive vice president and chief development officer for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Pinellas, Citrus and Hernando Counties in Florida.
He is a Certified Fund Raising Professional (CFRE) and has a strong background in the non-profit sector, including Habitat for Humanity. Previous to his work with Big Brothers Big Sisters, Michael worked for Habitat for Humanity of Bryan/College Station, Texas, from 2005-2009 as director of development and served on the board of directors for the Habitat for Humanity of Texas state support organization.
A member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals and Partnership for Philanthropic Planning, Michael holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of South Florida and received his Certificate in Fundraising Management through Indiana University’s Center on Philanthropy. In 2010, Michael was honored as an “Up & Comer” by the Tampa Bay Business Journal.
