Koya partnered with the Saint Francis Foundation on its President search. Based in San Francisco, the Saint Francis Foundation supports and enhances the ability of Saint Francis Memorial Hospital to deliver exceptional health care services and compassionate care to its patients and to the communities the hospital serves. Our work resulted in the placement of Mark Ryle.
Ryle brings a strong reputation in leadership, transformational change, business development, financial and strategic planning, community partnerships and board development to the Saint Francis Foundation.
Ryle joined SFF after nearly six years as the Chief Executive Officer of Project Open Hand, where he oversaw one of the largest providers of nutrition to seniors and the critically ill in California.
Previously, Ryle served as the Health Services Director of Huckleberry Youth Programs in San Francisco. He also founded Fundacion Huesped/Proyecto La Calle, a Buenos Aires organization providing food and housing for at-risk adolescents.
Earlier in his career, Ryle worked in finance and investment banking.
Ryle holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from the University of Texas, an M.A. in Social Work from University of Chicago and is a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW). He has also completed certificate programs at both Stanford Graduate School of Business and Harvard Kennedy School of Public Policy.
