After a nation-wide search managed and led by Koya consultants, the Johnson Family Foundation (JFF) named Frank Baiocchi as its next Executive Director.

Through both place-based and national grant-making programs, JFF works to develop healthy, vibrant and just communities where individuals, families and the next generation of leaders will thrive, with an emphasis on LGBTQ rights, education and entrepreneurship, and promoting equality and social progress. JFF has staff in New York, Colorado, Pennsylvania and Vermont.

Frank Baiocchi joins JFF after 13 years with the Polk Bros. Foundation in Chicago, where he designed and led family, community, and organizational development grant-making programs. He chaired many sector-enhancing initiatives, including the Point the Way capacity building project, the Creative Schools Fund and the Arts Work Fund, and led the Chicago chapters of Grantmakers for Effective Organizations and Funders for LGBTQ Issues. He was on the advisory committees for the Mission Sustainability Initiative, Strengthening Chicago’s Youth, Partners to End Domestic Violence, and Enrich Chicago. He taught courses in philanthropy and leadership at DePaul University and Loyola University.

Frank began his career on Broadway, acting in national and regional theaters for nearly eight years.

Frank served on the board of directors for Ingenuity (which he co-founded), the American Civil Liberties Union of Illinois, the Hoenig Scholarship Fund, and Chicago Arts Partnerships in Education.

Frank earned his Master’s in Social Service Administration from the University of Chicago and completed his Bachelor’s at the Gallatin School of Individualized Study at New York University.
