Koya partnered with Polaris in the search for a Director of Public Policy and Strategic Advocacy. Polaris works to combat and prevent modern-day slavery and human trafficking. Our work resulted in the placement of Allison Grossman.
Grossman is an experienced strategist, advocate, and nonprofit leader with expertise in issue advocacy, government relations, and coalition building.
Most recently, she served as Legislative Director at the Religious Action Center of Reform Judaism (the RAC), where she led the organization’s legislative strategy and government affairs on social justice issues including immigration, civil rights, and economic justice. She also oversaw the Eisendrath Legislative Assistant program, a prestigious year-long post-college fellowship.
Prior to joining the RAC, she served as the Senior Advisor, Global Policy and Advocacy at RESULTS, a grassroots anti-poverty advocacy organization, where she led campaigns on global education and early childhood development.
She has also worked with Save the Children and American Jewish World Service. Grossman started her career as an Eisendrath Legislative Assistant at the RAC.
Grossman serves on the Board of Common Good City Farm, a Washington, DC urban farm growing food for local residents & providing learning opportunities through workshops & programming.
Grossman holds a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Arizona. She earned her M.A. in Governmental Studies from the Johns Hopkins University.
