Wayne Lifshitz

Wayne Lifshitz is ecoAmerica’s Vice President of Programs, responsible for the management and implementation of the MomentUS initiative. Prior to joining ecoAmerica, Wayne was Chief Operating Officer at RescueSCG, a marketing company that focuses on behavior-change campaigns and programs. Wayne has extensive experience in the nonprofit, government and philanthropic sectors. He began his career as an environmental education Peace Corps volunteer in Uruguay and then spent a decade working in international public health, first as a Senior Program Officer with Africare-Angola and then as a Program Director at CARE. Wayne was also a strategy management consultant with Booz Allen Hamilton and currently serves on the board of the Rational Games Foundation, which teaches negotiation and encourages the use of games and play to resolve conflict and promote peace.

Wayne received a B.A. in Economics from the University of California, Berkeley and an M.P.H. in International Environmental Health from Boston University. He is a Certified Partnership Broker and Project Management Professional (PMP). He resides in a suburb of Washington, DC with his family. Wayne has lived and worked in more than 20 countries, sailed thousands of ocean miles, climbed Kilimanjaro, and is an active martial artist with a black belt in Japanese jujitsu and a 3rd-degree brown belt in judo. He also likes to invent things and holds a couple of patents.
