Michael Zwirn Bio:
Michael Zwirn comes to the Conservation Law Foundation with substantial experience in international and domestic environmental policy and fundraising, government relations, communications, and nonprofit management.
Michael’s prior experience includes progressively senior roles in program and fundraising responsibilities in conservation and humanitarian and development work in the United States, Southeast Asia, Russia, East Africa, and the Middle East, at the Wild Salmon Center, Wildlife Alliance, Marine Conservation Institute, and Adeso. Most recently, he was the Director of Foundation Relations at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars in Washington, working with 14 regional and thematic programs to identify new funding opportunities and guide cultivation and solicitation strategies, including matching foundation interests to emerging program opportunities and priorities.
Michael holds a bachelor’s degree in International Relations and Political Economy from Carleton College and a Master of Arts in Law and Diplomacy, with an emphasis in international environment and resources policy, from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University.
