Koya is delighted to announce the appointment of Monique Brunson Jones as the new President and CEO of the Evanston Community Foundation.
The Evanston Community Foundation is dedicated to enriching Evanston, Illinois and the lives of its people, now and in the future, by building endowments for current and future opportunities, fostering private philanthropy, focusing the impact of collective giving, finding solutions to community challenges, allocating grants, and provides leadership training.
Monique joins the Evanston Community Foundation from the Chicago Foundation for Women. At the Chicago Foundation for Women, she provided leadership to a staff of 14 and a budget of $3.8 million and manages its grant program, which awards annual grants of $2.5 million. Prior in her career, she was the director of the Office of Violence Prevention in the Cook County Department of Health and served in clinical and management positions with the Jane Addams Hull House Association.
Monique said, “I’m humbled and excited to lead the Evanston Community Foundation team and engage the Evanston community in the next phase of growth. I’m looking forward to the opportunities that await and am appreciative of the vote of confidence I’ve received thus far.”
