CHICAGO (March 12, 2015) – Koya Leadership Partners, a national executive search firm focused on the nonprofit sector, is pleased to announce today the appointment of Marissa Martin as vice president. Based in Koya’s Chicago office, Martin will join an executive search team committed to recruiting and retaining diverse senior level professionals to high impact nonprofit organizations nationwide.

With more than 10 years experience in the executive search industry, Marissa has successfully completed executive and senior level leadership positions across functions and industries. Prior to joining Koya, Marissa served as Vice President, Global Research for DHR International, a top five retained search firm. She was responsible for overall coordination and management of DHR International global search execution. She was also instrumental in the expansion of the education and nonprofit practice with DHR. Deeply committed to client service, Marissa was awarded the Chairman’s Award for Excellence multiple times and was instrumental in the expansion of the education and nonprofit practice with DHR.
Marissa’s commitment to the nonprofit field nonprofit career began with when she worked at Christopher House, a nationally recognized social service organization supporting low-income families. She is involved in volunteer work and fundraising with a number of nonprofit organizations including P.E.A.K. (Partnership for the Education and Advancement of Kids), Catholic Charities, Neighborhood Boys & Girls Club, The Cara Program and various food pantries.
Marissa earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Marquette University.
