Koya’s philanthropic philosophy is rooted in building individual and organizational impact for our staff and company. We believe corporations have a responsibility to use their profits for good and that employees should both drive and actively participate in that giving. Our giving program includes many components—from days of service to educational trainings on personal giving to employee-led “passion projects.” We’re proud that our team members also give generously of their time to local service activities, nonprofit boards and pro bono search and consulting.
Koya’s Community Impact Committee is a volunteer-led group of Koya team members that develops and implements a corporate giving strategy for the firm each year.
A key component of the strategy is a company-wide day of service.
This year, Koya held its day of service at Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee during our company retreat in Nashville, Tennessee. Together, we sorted 14,271 lbs. of food and helped pack 1,899 meals. In addition to our time, Koya made a financial contribution to Second Harvest, which will provide 20,000 meals to Middle Tennesseans.
