Koya Leadership Partners congratulates Corporation for a Skilled Workforce (CSW) on the appointment of Ryan Davis as President & CEO.
CSW is a national nonprofit that partners with government, business, and community leaders to support the creation of good jobs and the highly skilled workers to fill them.
Davis will become the third President in CSW’s 26-year history. His selection was made after a national search overseen by Koya. Davis’ tenure at CSW will begin January 1, 2018.
Davis joins CSW with extensive private sector, non-profit and military leadership experience, as well as knowledge of the healthcare, information technology, energy, advanced manufacturing, and aviation sectors. Davis currently serves as the Dean of Business and Applied Technology at Everett Community College in Washington State, where he built award winning programs recognized by the National Council of Workforce Educators (NCWE), CompTIA, and the Washington Student Achievement Council. He has led federal grants from the Departments of Commerce, Education, Energy, and Transportation as well as major grants from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, College Spark, and the Wal-Mart Foundation. Davis is a recognized expert in workforce policy and practice, building stacked and latticed credentials in higher education systems, and creating partnerships between employers, educational institutions, and the public workforce systems. He has also worked on projects developing data driven systems for quality career pathways, leveraging improved regional labor market data, and developing skills standards for new and evolving occupations.
His research interests include how increasing automation and artificial intelligence will impact the future workforce and developing regional strategies to create opportunities for underserved communities.
