Koya’s Social Impact Strategy
We believe corporations have a responsibility to use their profits for good and that employees should both drive and actively participate in that giving. That’s why we launched an employee-driven corporate giving model, where Koya employees are trained in venture philanthropy and oversee our annual giving program—from sourcing possible investment opportunities, to conducting due diligence, to reviewing the outcomes. We’re proud to invest 2% of our profits in the nonprofit sector each year. And we’re proud that our team members also give generously of their time to local service activities, non-profit boards, and pro bono search and consulting.
Koya’s Commitment to Diversity
Diversity is a deeply held belief at Koya. For every engagement we strive to identify candidates who bring a range of backgrounds and experiences to the table. We also track diversity metrics as a measure of team and organizational performance across individual searches and over time. In over 14 years that Koya has been serving clients, one-third of the leaders we have placed are people of color and two-thirds are women. Internally, our national staff is 40% people of color. We are deeply committed to increasing these numbers to more accurately reflect our nation’s demographics.
